THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,

Having regard to Decision No 235/2008/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 2008 establishing the European Statistical Governance Advisory BoardOJ L 73, 15.3.2008, p. 17 . , and in particular Article 3(5) thereof,

Having regard to the opinion of the European Commission,

Mr Priit POTISEPP is hereby appointed as a member representing the Council in the European Statistical Governance Advisory Board for a term of office of three years.

(1) By its decision of 18 December 2017 Council Decision of 18 December 2017 appointing three members of the European Statistical Governance Advisory Board (OJ C 439, 20.12.2017, p. 5 ). , the Council appointed three members of the European Statistical Governance Advisory Board (the Board) for a term of office of three years from 1 February 2018 .

(2) One of the three members of the Board appointed by the Council, Mr Jaume GARCIA, resigned before the end of his term of office.

(3) It is therefore necessary to appoint a new member of the Board.

(4) According to Article 3(2) of Decision No 235/2008/EC, the members of the Board are to be selected from among experts possessing outstanding competence in the field of statistics,

This Decision shall enter into force on the third day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .
