Rozhodnutí Rady (SZBP) 2026/383 ze dne 17. února 2026, kterým se mění rozhodnutí 2011/101/SZBP o omezujících opatřeních vzhledem k situaci v Zimbabwe

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 29 thereof,

Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,

Decision 2011/101/CFSP is amended as follows:

Council Decision 2011/101/CFSP of 15 February 2011 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Zimbabwe (OJ L 42, 16.2.2011, p. 6 , ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2011/101(1)/oj).

(1) On 15 February 2011 , the Council adopted Decision 2011/101/CFSPCouncil Decision 2011/101/CFSP of 15 February 2011 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Zimbabwe (OJ L 42, 16.2.2011, p. 6 , ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2011/101(1)/oj). , which concerns restrictive measures in view of the situation in Zimbabwe.

(2) On the basis of a review of Decision 2011/101/CFSP, the Council considers that the provisions on the travel ban and the freezing of assets, as well as the related prohibition on making funds or economic resources available, should be deleted, and that the title of that Decision should be amended to reflect the fact that the framework only includes an arms embargo.

(3) The Council considers that Decision 2011/101/CFSP should be renewed until 20 February 2027 . The Council should continue to monitor the political and security situation in Zimbabwe and keep the measures under constant review in light of developments.

(4) Decision 2011/101/CFSP should therefore be amended accordingly,

(1) the title is replaced by the following:Council Decision 2011/101/CFSP of 15 February 2011 concerning an arms embargo in view of the situation in Zimbabwe ;

(2) Articles 4 to 7 are deleted;

(3) in Article 10(2), the date 20 February 2026 is replaced by that of 20 February 2027 ;

(4) Annex I is deleted.

This Decision shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
