Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 38, third paragraph, thereof,

Having regard to Council Decision (CFSP) 2026/894 of 21 April 2026 on a European Union Partnership Mission in Armenia (EUPM Armenia)OJ L, 2026/894, 22.4.2026, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2026/894/oj. , and in particular Article 8(1) thereof,

Mr Cosmin George DINESCU is appointed as Head of Mission of the European Union Partnership Mission in Armenia (EUPM Armenia) from 11 June 2026 to 31 May 2027 .

(1) Pursuant to Article 8(1) of Decision (CFSP) 2026/894, the Political and Security Committee (PSC) is authorised, in accordance with Article 38, third paragraph, of the Treaty, to take the relevant decisions for the purpose of exercising the political control and strategic direction of the European Union Partnership Mission in Armenia (EUPM Armenia), including the decision to appoint a Head of Mission upon a proposal of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (the High Representative).

(2) On 20 May 2026 , the High Representative proposed the appointment of Mr Cosmin George DINESCU as Head of Mission of EUPM Armenia from 11 June 2026 to 31 May 2027 .

(3) A decision on the appointment of Mr Cosmin George DINESCU as Head of Mission of EUPM Armenia from 11 June 2026 to 31 May 2027 should therefore be taken,

This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
