The Annex to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/2552Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/2552 of 12 December 2022 laying down the technical specifications of data requirements for the detailed topic industrial production statistics establishing the industrial products classification breakdown, pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 of the European Parliament and of the Council and amending Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1197, as regards the coverage of the product classification (OJ L 336, 29.12.2022, p. 1 , ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/reg_impl/2022/2552/oj). is replaced by the text in the Annex to this Regulation.

(1) In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/2152, Member States should carry out a statistical survey of industrial production.

(2) The survey should be based on a list of products identifying the relevant industrial production.

(3) A list of products is necessary for the alignment between production statistics and external trade statistics and for the comparison with the Union product nomenclature CPA (Classification of Products by Activity).

(4) The list of products required by Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 (the Prodcom list), is common to all Member States, and is necessary for the purposes of the comparability of data across Member States.

(5) In order to reflect the technological developments and structural changes of the industrial production, it is necessary to establish an updated Prodcom list.

(6) The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the European Statistical System Committee,

This Regulation shall apply to the data transmissions to the Commission (Eurostat) relating to each reference period from 1 January 2025 .

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .
