Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 38, third paragraph, thereof,

Having regard to Council Decision 2013/354/CFSP of 3 July 2013 on the European Union Police Mission for the Palestinian Territories (EUPOL COPPS)OJ L 185, 4.7.2013, p. 12 , ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2013/354/oj. , and in particular Article 9(1) thereof,

Mr Felix ANDÅKER is appointed as Head of Mission of the European Union Police Mission for the Palestinian Territories (EUPOL COPPS) from 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2026 .

(1) Pursuant to Article 9(1) of Decision 2013/354/CFSP, the Political and Security Committee (PSC) is authorised, in accordance with Article 38, third paragraph, of the Treaty, to take the relevant decisions for the purpose of exercising the political control and strategic direction of the European Union Police Mission for the Palestinian Territories (EUPOL COPPS), including the decision to appoint a Head of Mission upon a proposal of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (the High Representative).

(2) On 26 March 2024 , the PSC adopted Decision (CFSP) 2024/1031Political and Security Committee Decision (CFSP) 2024/1031 of 26 March 2024 on the appointment of the Head of Mission of the European Union Police Mission for the Palestinian Territories (EUPOL COPPS) (EUPOL COPPS/1/2024) (OJ L, 2024/1031, 2.4.2024, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2024/1031/oj). , appointing Ms Karin LIMDAL as Head of Mission of EUPOL COPPS from 1 April 2024 to 30 June 2024 .

(3) On 26 June 2024 , the PSC adopted Decision (CFSP) 2024/1816Political and Security Committee Decision (CFSP) 2024/1816 of 26 June 2024 extending the mandate of the Head of Mission of the European Union Police Mission for the Palestinian Territories (EUPOL COPPS) (EUPOL COPPS/2/2024) (OJ L, 2024/1816, 27.6.2024, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2024/1816/oj). , extending the mandate of Ms Karin LIMDAL as Head of Mission of EUPOL COPPS from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025 .

(4) On 24 June 2025 , the PSC adopted Decision (CFSP) 2025/1306Political and Security Committee Decision (CFSP) 2025/1306 of 24 June 2025 extending the mandate of the Head of Mission of the European Union Police Mission for the Palestinian Territories (EUPOL COPPS) (EUPOL COPPS/1/2025) (OJ L, 2025/1306, 30.6.2025, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2025/1306/oj). , extending the mandate of Ms Karin LIMDAL as Head of Mission of EUPOL COPPS from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 .

(5) On 9 June 2026 , the High Representative proposed the appointment of Mr Felix ANDÅKER as Head of Mission of EUPOL COPPS from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027 .

(6) Taking into account information provided by Israel and by the Palestinian Authority, a decision on the appointment of Mr Felix ANDÅKER as Head of Mission of EUPOL COPPS from 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2026 should be taken,

This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.

It shall apply subject to the adoption of a decision by the Council extending the validity of Decision 2013/354/CFSP beyond 30 June 2026 .
